That pool is a starting point rather than a boundary: items outside it are quoted the same way, from their measurable specification.
How large does an emergency exit sign have to be?
Turkish regulation sets a ratio, not a fixed size. Under Article 73 of the Regulation on Fire Protection of Buildings (Official Gazette 19 December 2007, no. 26735), viewing distance = sign height × 100 for externally illuminated signs and × 200 for internally illuminated ones. Minimum sign height is 15 cm, mounting height 200–240 cm above floor, luminance of externally lit signs at least 2 cd/m², and emergency lighting must last 60 minutes — 120 minutes where the building’s design occupant load exceeds 200 (a design figure from floor area and use, not today’s headcount). Colour and shape rules come from the Health and Safety Signs Regulation (Official Gazette 11 September 2013, no. 28762), which — contrary to common belief — does not reference EN ISO 7010. The often-quoted “maximum 30 m between exit signs” appears nowhere in the regulation.

Use it in both directions: from corridor length to required sign height, or from an existing sign to its maximum viewing distance. Article 73/4 requires additional signs, as many as needed, for points beyond that distance.

Must our signs comply with EN ISO 7010?
Not as a legal requirement. The Turkish Health and Safety Signs Regulation contains no reference to EN ISO 7010; it provides its own pictogram examples in Annex 2. That said, TSE has adopted the standard as TS EN ISO 7010 and it is the current set in practice — we recommend it, but we do not present it as a legal obligation.
Is photoluminescent signage mandatory?
No. Article 73 of the Turkish fire regulation does not mention photoluminescent signs; exit signs must be lit by emergency lighting units, externally or internally, and photoluminescent material supplements rather than replaces that lighting. If it is used, the class is declared under DIN 67510-1:2020; we recommend Class C or higher.
How is sign size chosen?
From the distance at which the sign has to be read. The standard sizing approach relates the sign’s characteristic dimension to the observation distance, so a sign that is correct at 6 metres is undersized at 20. Tell us the mounting position and the distance from which it must be legible and the size follows; for escape route signs the required distance is set by the escape route plan, not by preference.
What material should be used where?
Self-adhesive vinyl for smooth indoor surfaces where the sign will not be handled; rigid PVC or aluminium composite for corridors and production areas; aluminium or reflective sheet outdoors and for traffic. Photoluminescent material adds visibility in a power failure on top of the emergency-lit signs that Article 73 of the Turkish fire regulation requires — it is a different product from ordinary printed vinyl and should be specified explicitly.
Do you install signage?
We supply the signs, fixings and floor marking material. Installation is outside our general scope; within İstanbul it can be arranged on request as a separate line. Artwork for custom signs must be supplied print-ready — graphic design is outside our scope.
Do you ship outside Türkiye?
Yes. We deliver across all 81 provinces of Türkiye and arrange export shipments abroad. On export orders the delivery term is agreed at quotation stage under Incoterms 2020 — EXW, FCA, CPT or DAP — and the quote states which party arranges and pays for carriage, and where our responsibility ends. Country of origin, HS code and any conformity documents needed for export are settled at the same stage.
What does an export quote include, and what does it not?
It includes the goods, export packing where required, and carriage up to the point defined by the agreed Incoterm. It does not include destination-country duties, taxes or customs charges — those sit with the buyer. Cargo insurance is not automatic under EXW, FCA, CPT or DAP; if you want it arranged, say so in the request and it appears as a separate line. Turkish VAT is zero-rated on exports once export clearance is completed.
Is there a minimum order for an export shipment?
There is no fixed minimum, but freight economics set a practical floor: on a low-value single-line order, carriage can exceed the value of the goods. Consolidating several categories into one shipment is usually what makes an export order worth placing — which is the same reason our buyers consolidate domestically. Tell us the delivery country and we will say honestly whether the freight makes sense before you spend time on a specification.
