Short answer

What is MRO procurement and what makes it different?

MRO covers everything consumed to keep production running that does not end up in the product: bearings, seals, filters, belts, lubricants, fasteners, pneumatic and hydraulic components. It behaves differently from every other category because the decision variable is not price — it is the cost of the line stopping while the part is sourced. That reframes the specification: what matters is the manufacturer part number, the lead time, and whether an equivalent is acceptable. A part that is 30% cheaper and four weeks out is not cheaper. MRO is also the category where a written minimum stock level pays for itself fastest, because the items that stop a line are usually low-value and easy to overlook.

Scope: We supply materials in this category. We do not provide maintenance labour, overhaul and field service. Our commitment ends with delivering the right product, in the right quantity, on the stated date to the delivery point named on the quote — anywhere across Türkiye’s 81 provinces, or abroad under the agreed Incoterm.

Production lines don’t wait. Spending days hunting a supplier for one bearing, one belt or a special seal; slipping a maintenance schedule over a missing part — these are maintenance teams’ most familiar pains. AKSCO researches and supplies your MRO items from catalogue codes, samples or technical drawings.

Where parts can’t be sourced quickly from domestic stock, our import channels step in — we put clearly costed and scheduled options in front of you. For critical consumables, minimum-stock agreements prevent emergency downtime.

  • Bearings & power transmission
  • Filters & filtration
  • Seals & gaskets
  • Hydraulics & pneumatics
  • Belts & chains
  • Oils & chemicals
  • Valves & fittings
  • OEM spares

The items in this category are part of a pool of 45 listed items here, published together with every other category on the A to Z supply list — each with a short technical description and the unit it is ordered in. The same list is downloadable as a brand-free technical specification in Word and a unit-price schedule in Excel. That pool is a starting point rather than a boundary: items outside it are quoted the same way, from their measurable specification.

Not a catalogue — a scope indicator. If an item you need is not listed, it is almost certainly still within scope; send the description and we will price it.

Nearby categories: Tools & Hardware · Furniture & Office Equipment. A single request often spans several categories; they are priced in one quote and settled on one invoice. The full list is on product categories, and Turkish procurement terms you will meet on the paperwork are explained in the glossary.

Frequently Asked Questions

We only have the old part, no code. Can you supply it?

Yes. We research parts from sample photos and measurements, matching through manufacturer catalogues and import channels where needed.

How fast is the process in emergency downtime?

Urgent-flagged requests get priority stock checks and pricing; same-day dispatch is targeted for domestic stock.

How is the minimum stock level for a critical spare decided?

By comparing two numbers: the cost of the line being down for the supply lead time, and the cost of holding the part. Where the downtime cost is high and the lead time is long, the part is stocked regardless of unit price — this is why a 200-lira sensor is often held while a 20,000-lira motor is not. Items that have been consumed more than once in a year get their minimum level raised; items never consumed get removed from stock.

Are equivalent parts acceptable in MRO?

Item by item. Fasteners, seals, filters and belts from established manufacturers are routinely interchanged on dimensional and performance equivalence. Anything inside a warranty, a certified assembly or a safety function should stay original. Whatever you decide, state it per line in the request — an equivalent quoted silently against an OEM quote is not a comparison, and we mark every equivalent explicitly.

Can you source a part from a photograph or a nameplate?

Usually yes. A clear photograph of the nameplate, the part marking or the failed component itself is often enough to identify the item, and it is the fastest route when the maintenance records are incomplete. Send the machine make and model as well if you have it — it narrows the search considerably.

Do you ship outside Türkiye?

Yes. We deliver across all 81 provinces of Türkiye and arrange export shipments abroad. On export orders the delivery term is agreed at quotation stage under Incoterms 2020 — EXW, FCA, CPT or DAP — and the quote states which party arranges and pays for carriage, and where our responsibility ends. Country of origin, HS code and any conformity documents needed for export are settled at the same stage.

What does an export quote include, and what does it not?

It includes the goods, export packing where required, and carriage up to the point defined by the agreed Incoterm. It does not include destination-country duties, taxes or customs charges — those sit with the buyer. Cargo insurance is not automatic under EXW, FCA, CPT or DAP; if you want it arranged, say so in the request and it appears as a separate line. Turkish VAT is zero-rated on exports once export clearance is completed.

Is there a minimum order for an export shipment?

There is no fixed minimum, but freight economics set a practical floor: on a low-value single-line order, carriage can exceed the value of the goods. Consolidating several categories into one shipment is usually what makes an export order worth placing — which is the same reason our buyers consolidate domestically. Tell us the delivery country and we will say honestly whether the freight makes sense before you spend time on a specification.

These three questions are the same on every category and industry page. The full answer — Incoterms, the document set and ISPM 15 packing — is in our export shipping guide.

Send your needs list — your quote is ready within 1 business day.

Quotes are free of charge and carry no purchase obligation. Requests received during business hours (Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00 Türkiye time, UTC+3) are processed the same day; those arriving outside them go to the front of the queue the next business morning.
